Following the successful edition with Joyce DiDonato, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and Inspiratum are pleased to announce a second edition of the Opera Gala. Mark Friday, March 10, 2017 in your calendars, as opera diva Ann Hallenberg and other great voices from the Agrippina-cast will be singing aria’s and duets. Baroque orchestra Il Pomo d’Oro will also be performing again, this time under the guidance of conductor Stefano Montanari. Especially for this occasion, internationally acclaimed choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui created a new piece with costumes designed by Dries Van Noten.

If you want to make this evening truly unforgettable, you can join the artists in the historical AthenA hall (walking distance from the Opera), for the gala dinner and fashion show with the creations of the master students of The Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. An evening auction will feature collection pieces from Antwerp’s top designers and the generous proceeds will benefit the artistic budget of Opera Ballet Vlaanderen and The Fashion Department of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp.
