When Azature Does Charity Things Get Glamorous
True beauty shines from within and that was proven yet again just days ago when the world renowned jewelry designer, the “Black Diamond King”, Azature paired with the Polished Girlz charity foundation for their first annual Polished Girlz Ball which was held Friday September 11, 2015 at St. Mary’s Hospital for Children in Bayside, NY.
When challenged with severe health issues it’s easy for these concerns to overshadow those sweet childhood moments many of us take for granted. That is why Miss Alanna Wall founded the Polished Girlz charity in 2010 to provide moments of beauty and pure joy for girls whose focus has been harshly diverted from who the cutest boy in school is or what to wear to the next school dance. The golden hearted Miss Wall’s dream of creating a prom for patients who may not otherwise get the chance to experience one came true and was a glittering success.
The boys and girls of St. Mary’s Hospital were given the royal treatment by the members of the royal court of the nail industry who were on hand to give back. Essie’s Gino Trunzo as the fairy godfather, and The Painted Nail’s Katie Cazorla as the fairy godmother were proud participants. Celebrity jewelry designer Azature provided Wall with a black gold and diamond tiara valued at $17 million as well as other jewelry she wore for the ball. Other notables included celebrity manicurists Mr. Luis Nails and Mar y Sol Inzerillo.
The girls, once in their chosen dresses and crowns, chose their favorite polishes and received manicures prior to the ball, while the boys were given their bow ties to prepare for the special event. Everyone walked the red carpet and spent the afternoon dancing to the tunes DJ Remo was playing. Other activities included a photo booth and a nail art station. Delicious cupcakes and lemonade were provided for all and everyone left with a goodie bag and memories to last a lifetime.
