Bulgari’s Daniel Roth Collection Carillon Tourbillon DR3300 is a symphony of Swiss mastery and Italian style. The “Grande Complication” exudes a sophisticated aura and lavish craftsmanship that connoisseurs crave.
Cosseted within the Swiss Alps is Bulgari’s Manufacture de Haute Horlogerie, in Le Sentier. Here tucked away amongst the snowy, rocky cliffs and evergreens the alpine village houses a state of the art facility where the best of the best come to create truly breathtaking works of time keeping. This ancient practice which began in Sumaria by the wise and magical who painstakingly calculated the sun, moon and stars, has been perfected in modern Switzerland by technicians who engineer elegance.
Each Carillon Tourbillon takes six months to be built by these extraordinary hands. Everyone of its 327 parts are nurtured and artfully arranged around the large tourbillon carriage. At the pinnacle of horlogerie excellence are the enchanting striking watches. The marvelous ingenuity of watchmaking prowess has allowed for a beautiful and melodious three bell chime to be held within its encasement. The hand-crafted and special-shaped gong serve to achieve a perfect and absolutely identical sound quality. The dial is suspended from the inner bezel ring and topped by a faceted sapphire crystal which enhances the resonance for the striking mechanisms.
The architecture of Bulgari’s design alternates between the steel elements – hammer, gongs, tourbillon carriage – and the openworked surfaces, the delicately decorated mainplate and bridges are given an elegant NAC surface treatment. This exclusive alloy is composed of noble metals: platinum, rhodium, ruthenium, and indium. The 18kt pink gold case and brown alligator leather strap finish the assembly with a mature finesse preferring to let the impeccable work speak for itself – and she does so sweetly.
