This year’s THE SALON: ART + DESIGN show held at the Park Avenue Armory in New York City was a feast for the eyes. Here under one roof art enthusiast were invited to savor the best of the creative world. A world where Salvador Dali and Stickler were the gracious neighbors of a monkey hanging from a chandelier by Barnaby Barford. Where French institutions such as Goyard and Kraemer were comfortable among Wei Ligang’s deconstructed Chinese calligraphy poems.
