GIFT GUIDE: Tech For The Home

  • WRITTEN BY: GIUSEPPE MAUTONE

Gifting gadget goodies for the home can be a fun and unexpected present to give and to receive.

While technology has made its way into almost every aspect of our lives, which have led to daunting challenges and apocalyptic headlines in the modern era, this holiday season think about items that are more playfully practical, Jetson-esque, and at the ready to help solve some of life’s little challenges.

Here’s a list of some of our favorites.

MOLEKULE

MOLEKULE AIR PRO

We are loving this super cute air purifier from Molekule, whose purifiers work by using Photo Electrochemical Oxidation (PECO; sounds like Pee-Koh) technology. PECO uses oxidation to break down pollutants at the molecular level, which can destroy chemicals like VOCs, ozone, mold, viruses, bacteria and more. Instead of trapping organic pollutants within the unit like other air purifiers, PECO destroys them at the chemical level, while also detecting relative humidity, and CO2.

MOLEKULE AIR PRO

The AIR PRO is Apple HomeKit-enabled, and customers can also find auto-generated air quality graphs within the Molekule app that display air quality category colors and allow you to view daily pollutant counts as a whole. The app displays “top air quality offenders” and offers educational information to help users discover and mitigate poor air quality patterns.

MAYU WATER

MAYU WATER SWIRL

Balancing the water quality has never been so beautiful. This Insta-famous water carafe sits on its vortex inducing stand. The whirlpool acts as the rocks in a babbling brook and re-aerates and oxygenates our very precious H2O, letting it “breathe” like wine. Swirl for 7 minutes with the lid off to return your water to its natural sweet, silky mouthfeel and healthy equilibrium. The Mayu Water Swirl is a beautiful, refreshing and unexpected gift.

NARWAL

NARWAL FREO

Know someone who is completely over household chores? Though they may have transcended the mundane, dirty floors knows no enlightenment. That is where this little robot makes dreams come true. The Narwal Freo takes scrubbing floors off your hands as it senses dirty floors and promptly slips out of its home port and makes its way across your floors with its “Accurate-Route”, which best optimizes the cleaning route, washing all your floors before driving itself back home to its port where it not only lives, but washes off its brushes. If this isn’t the stuff of cleaning fantasy, we don’t know what is.

AUDIO QUEST

Audio Quest: Dragon Zero Bi Cable

OK, maybe your special someone has very particular needs. Maybe they are a tech-y to the core and they wish for things like radio-frequency noise dissipation, lightning-fast reactions, and beautifully braided cables filled with precious, highly conductive metals. Audio Quest has their finger on the pulse of gaming, audio, and technology lovers, whether professionally or just for fun. They create specialty USB and HDMI cables that can run from forty-five dollars to upwards of a hefty hundred thousand for the Dragon Bi-Wire Combo speaker cables.

Audio Quest: Power Quest PQ3

For Digital Coax audio “speed” is critical not because of how-much how-fast, but because time relationships within a digital stream are critical to the reconstruction of the analog waveform that brings information, music and joy to our ears.

ONEADAPTR

ONEADAPTR: ONE WORLD PD

Or, maybe your technology needs are a bit more grounded and well, worldly. Oneadaptr is the perfect stocking stuffer for your little world traveler, with its All-In-One world adapter with USB-C & 3 USB charger, that works in over 200 countries. WIRED magazine says it’s “…the safest travel adapters you can buy.” Fun, easy to use, and brings the kind of peace of mind that only a fully charged phone battery can give. We give it a thumbs up.
