This season of the New York Bridal Fashion Week showcased a wide range of luxury designers and didn’t fail to provide those swoon worthy moments every Mrs-To-Be dreams of. From glammed up city girls to Bohemian fantasies, and a few surprises sprinkled in. Continuing a trend that we all know and love, it looks like the after-party gowns are here to stay. Yes!
Here is our Fall/Winter 2023 Edit of looks we love.
Ines di Santo
Known for her perfect fit, fascination with color and being endlessly timeless Ines’ collection “Illuminated Soirée” is where Murano Chandeliers are the center piece of her inspiration this season as she’s long admired their unparalleled craftsmanship, sophisticated yet whimsical use of color, and ability to spark imagination.
“All worlds are within reach with an open heart and a vivid imagination.”
– Ines Di Santo
DANA HAREL
Israeli bridal designer, Dana Harel, presented her “Allure” collection at The Plaza Hotel in NYC. Her collection was a delightful mix of fresh femininity and romantic detailing. Pearled gowns with a contemporary take on art deco are juxtaposed by gossamer like delicacies artfully embellish with floral motifs inspired by tattoo artists.
Allure, combines a beautiful balance of early 19th-century fashion with refined elements of late 20th-century ’90s glam.
ANDREW KWON
Refined and city chic, Andrew Kwon focused on the luster of his collection, as his inspiration is to be “Red Carpet Ready”, and visions of Nicole Kidman for Chanel helped shape the feeling of his designs. Thoughtful touches elevate each gown to make his brides feel spectacular.
Guipure lace dusted with crystals twinkle like stars in the abyss, metallic lurex threads weave into pieces like flashes of lightning, and Kwon’s signature 3D-floral is reintroduced in an ombré palette mirroring the sky’s natural progression. This idea of taking something ever-changing and reducing it to a single moment recalls his own journey of self-discovery when he moved from Colorado to California and the glistening lights seen below from the plane.
REEM ACRA
The renowned designer, Reem Acra, created a confection of dreamy floral gowns in their “Sweet Dreem” vision for Fall/ Winter 2023. Some were dripping in beads and pearls, others a celebration of lace. Each, of course, topped off with their signature flower power head piece. It’s a fun and whimsical collection. Dare we say…Dreemy.
The collection has a magical aura. The dresses have just enough of the elements of the old world mixed with modern details.
