At this year’s New York Design Week, Fiona Barratt Campbell, of British based FBC London, presented her latest collection. The luxury bespoke furniture design house is known for its’ large, luxe pieces with ample sleek silhouettes that are welcome useable elements throughout her clients’ homes.
Always imaginative in her use of materials, Fiona is thoughtful in how her pieces will be used, lived in, and lived with. From the heavy, full caste aluminum outdoor seating collection, that easily makes its way to the kitchen table; to seating upholstered in the rich and supple woven fabrics of your dreams from textile designer Rosemary Hallgarten.
At the show she featured her latest bed design, the Georgiana Bed, which she punctuated with her Gem Bedside Table made of Selenite crystal, known for its calming and cleansing properties.
Also, now on display at the New York Design Center is her first lighting collection, the Byethorne, featuring a chandelier, pendant and sconce. The contemporary metal forms are accentuated with elegant metal detailing which is contrasted with a combination of white onyx and handcrafted or bubbled glass.
“The Byethorne range takes its name from my grandfather’s glorious home situated in a Roman village in the North of England. I think the success of this range is the subtly of the combinations of materials. They are all tonal and warm.”
