Stefano Ricci celebrates their 45th anniversary as a leading company in the production of 100% made in Italy luxury menswear. In honor of the landmark year Stefano Ricci has decided to introduce a juniors line that parallels the men’s collection, with the vision that refined taste and style is a talent passed from father to son. A sophisticated and thoughtful approach to the future of fashion, encouraging a mindfulness in self respect.
The STEFANO RICCI man is a collector, who searches for a taste of true refinement found within every masterpiece in his wardrobe. His motive, retained from the designer’s African dream, envelops and distinguishes the leather jackets, light as clouds; their measured proportions following the lines of the body, the strong and masculine aspects becoming a modern armour.
The timeless image is enriched with luxury jeans, cool and comfortable sneakers, perfect for daily city life as well as relaxing moments. The colors are clean and classic.
“This is an important step in the renewed dialogue between art and fashion.” says Eike Schmidt, director of the Uffizi Gallery. “Above all, it is an initiative which, from a historical point of view, is consistent with the place itself; the Sala Bianca, within Palazzo Pitti, hosted the first fashion show in 1952. The glorious path of Italian fashion from this date forward will be further illustrated in an exhibition of photographs that will open, also within the Palazzo Pitti (Andito degli Angiolini), precisely during Pitti Uomo.”
“It is an honour and a responsibility for me to bring the fashion industry back to the location that represents the birth of Italian fashion, the place where it all began. I wish to thank the direction of the Uffizi Gallery for granting this space.” states the Florentine designer, Stefano Ricci.
The formalwear is both contemporary yet sartorial. The trousers are both fitted and dynamic, two button jackets and the magnetic intrigue of the gilet, made of the same fabric and giving a sense of order and calm to the style.
Elegant and noble recollections are in the cufflinks of the shirts, masterpieces of subtlety, in the clutch that adds cheer to a pocket, in the chic ties that dazzle and charm. There is a natural and instant beauty treatment, an elixir of youth.
All in blue, grey, maroon, and ruby. Flashes of luxury are found in increasingly sophisticated knitwear, bridging all occasions with mocknecks and zip cardigans that are distinguished by their use of leather and fur.
Overcoats in winter are a must and the balanced symbol of dressing well, like a caress from the shoulders to the knees, in light and precious fabric bringing even more warmth from the sable lapels.
